2008/2009 Schedule of Events

Please find below information regarding 2008/2009 planned events and activities for the Wildcat Wrestling club.  This list includes competition venues that the club plans to participate in as a group.  This list in no way includes all of the competition opportunities available.  Please see the club web site wbwildcatwrestling.com or wiwrestling.com for complete information regarding area tournaments.  For those of you that are new to youth wrestling, competition is completely voluntary.  The extent to which your child engages in competition is determined entirely by you and your child.

December 3, 2008 (6:30 PM - 7:30 PM)
Parent’s Meeting

On this day we will conduct a parent’s meeting in the West High School Cafeteria form 6:30 PM until 7:30 pm.  At this time we will share important information about the club and answer any questions you may have.  It is mandatory that at least one parent attend this meeting.

Holiday Break
No Practice Over The Holiday Break

The last regular practice before the holiday break will be Wednesday December 17, 2008.  The last practice for the advanced group will be Thursday December 28, 2008.  All practices will resume Friday, January 2, 2009.

West Bend Youth Individual Tournament
(Wildcat Club Participation)

On this day the West Bend Wildcats will host a youth individual tournament.  All wildcats are encouraged to participate.  All wildcat parents will be asked to assist in administering the tournament.  Sign up for duties will take place at the club sign up sessions.

2009 Kids Folkstyle State Regional Tournament Competition

On this day their will be 8 regional tournament competitions held though out the state.  Qualifiers from each of the regional tournaments will be entitled to compete at the state tournament in Madison.  Please visit the Wisconsin Wrestling Federation web page for more details regarding the regional tournaments.

State Tournament Competition

This tournament is open to all wrestlers who qualified at one of the regional tournaments. A block of rooms for this event have been reserved for Friday and Saturday night at:

The state tournament marks the end of the Wildcat Wrestling season.  If you have any questions regarding the above information, please do not hesitate to approach one of the coaches or any one on the leadership committee.

The West Bend Wildcat Youth Wrestling Club pratice at West Bend East High School every Monday and Wednesday from 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM starting December 1, 2008.

Please note, your child must be a registered member of the team and must have a current USA Wrestler Card to practice or participate in team tournaments.
