Wildcat Wrestling Club Sponsorship

Our club is a not for profit self supporting youth club under IRS code 509a(2).  A large part of the reason we are able to operate our club at a reasonable cost is through contributions from individuals and area businesses.  In order to help continue our tradition of reasonable user fees, we encourage all participants to assist in identifying potential individual or corporate sponsors.  There are three ways in which sponsorship can take place.

• General Contribution
• Club sponsorship
• Tournament Sponsorship

General Contribution

This can be a contribution of any amount in which the contributor simply wishes to support the club and expects no advertising gratuity in return.  These contributions can be solicited and accepted at any point in the year.

Club Sponsorship

Club sponsorship contributions will be those made in exchange for advertising on our web, sponsorship boards and others.  The minimum contribution for a club sponsorship is $250.

Tournament Sponsorship

Tournament sponsorship contributions will be those made in exchange for advertising in the tournament program.  The costs for this are as follows:

• $25       Business Card
• $50       Half Page
• $100     Full Page

The deadline for tournament sponsorship will be 12/01/2008.  Again, the artwork must be turned in no later than 12/01/2008.  Any funds that are pledged by this date will receive advertising regardless of the date at which the invoice is paid.

What do I do after I’ve identified a contributor?

Once you have a commitment from a contributor, the contributor may wish to either:

• Give you a check, made out to Wildcat Wrestling.  In which case you gladly accept the check and indicate to the contributor that they will receive a receipt via mail at a later date.  In this case you will then forward the check to Rick Goetz with all the necessary contact information and artwork if necessary.  Rick will ensure that a receipt is sent.
• Request to be invoiced for the contribution.  In this case you will need to call or email Rick with the contributor information including the pledge amount and he will see that an invoice is sent.
