Once again the West Bend Wildcat Wrestling Club has hosted a hugely successfully youth wrestling tournament.  As one of Wisconsin’s largest youth tournaments, 600 wrestlers packed our field house for the one day event.  To observe this spectacle leaves you with a significant appreciation for the dozens of people whose efforts are absolutely necessary to drive this event to success year after year.  Shining through these efforts is a clear example of the power of teamwork and community.  In addition, we must also recognize that this function is major source revenue for both our youth and high school wrestling programs. Below I would like to identify and offer thanks to some of the groups and individuals that contributed to making this day a victory for our programs and our community.

Bob Lang – West Bend Wildcat Tournament Director

Bob’s planning efforts and communications begin months before the tournament.  Through his drive and commitment he has demonstrated himself as the glue that binds this effort together.

West Bend Wildcat Parents & Families

Thanks much to those Wildcat parents that offered their volunteer time to fulfill the many duties on tournament day.  A special thanks to all those parents and coaches that have been a significant part of the planning and leadership committee.

West Bend High School Facilities Staff

Once again the district Facilities staff including Tony and the other members of the high school operations team were extremely supportive and accommodating.

West Bend High school wrestling coaches and athletes

Thanks a bunch to those high school coaches and wrestlers that were able to assist as referees.  Their expertise was instrumental and very much appreciated.

West Bend Honor Society and Key Club

We were very fortunate to have a group of West Bend High S chool honor students and Key Club members volunteer to assist.  These folks were great mat side table workers.
