2010/2011 Schedule of Events

Please find below information regarding 2010/2011 planned events and activities for the Wildcat Wrestling club.  This list includes competition venues that the club plans to participate in as a group.  This list in no way includes all of the competition opportunities available.  Please see the club web site wbwildcatwrestling.com or wiwrestling.com for complete information regarding area tournaments.  For those of you that are new to youth wrestling, competition is completely voluntary.  The extent to which your child engages in competition is determined entirely by you and your child.

West Bend East High School Wrestling Room

Let’s get on the mat and keep the success going!  The new Leadership Board of the West Bend Wildcat Wrestling Club is pleased to announce a 2010 Spring / Summer Wrestling opportunity for all area wrestlers!
The 2010 Spring / Summer wrestling program is designed to keep everyone thinking about the great sport of Wrestling.  Bring your favorite partner and keep your skills sharp!  The intensity level will vary based on participation!  Wrestlers from another clubs that you would like to work out with…NO PROBLEM!  You can make it once a week or once every two weeks…NO PROBLEM!  Please click here for sign-up and waiver form to bring with you the first night you participate.  A valid USA CARD IS REQUIRED.

Target Participants:  Grades 3-12 from all area schools (younger kids with at least 2 years of experience will be accepted with Coach’s approval).

Parent’s Meeting

• On this day we will conduct a parent’s meeting in the West High School Cafeteria form 6:30 PM until 7:30 pm.  At this time we will share important information about the club and answer any questions you may have.  It is mandatory that at least one parent attend this meeting.

Holiday Break

• Practice will be held during the holiday break Monday and Wednesday from 6:30 - 8:00 PM.

West Bend Wildcat Tournament

• This is the tournament that our club will host in West Bend.  As you recall from sign up, each family will be expected to work at the tournament.  You will be getting more info regarding work assignments via email in the days ahead.  There is no registration fee for Wildcat Wrestlers.  You do however need to complete a registration form and submit it to Coach Bob Lang.

Wildcat Weekend Road Trip

• This will be the annual Wildcat Weekend road trip.  We will wrestle at _______________ on Saturday and __________________ on Sunday.

State Tournament Competition

• This tournament is open to all wrestlers who qualified at one of the regional tournaments. A block of rooms for this event have been reserved for Friday and Saturday night at _____________________.
• Again, please visit the WWF website above for information regarding the state tournament.  From the home page go to Tournament info, State Tournament.
• For the State tournament, The Wildcats have a block of rooms reserved at the Sheraton Hotel in Madison.  A block of room is being held through ______________________.  Please make your reservations prior to this date. 

The state tournament marks the end of the 2010 / 2011 Wildcat Wrestling season.  If you have any questions regarding the above information, please do not hesitate to approach one of the coaches or any one on the leadership committee.

The West Bend Wildcat Youth Wrestling Club pratice at West Bend East High School every Monday and Wednesday from 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM starting Monday, December 2010.

Please note, your child must be a registered member of the team and must have a current USA Wrestler Card to practice or participate in team tournaments.
